+Wrote 7 bundles from an unbundled pool of 60 finds dated 08-03 or later. 34 items placed. Reuses across bundles: **0** (budget ~20%, i.e. ~7 — spent none, because a 60-find pool never needed a repeat to make a theme work).

+**Why a cluster run and not a single bundle.** The unbundled *shortlisted* pool hit 26 after this morning's capture — past the ~25 threshold the pipeline sets for switching modes. It was also overdue on its own terms: the 08-07 log recorded that the 08-03 leftovers (`crotchet`, `kakehashi`, `project-espanol`, `newold-computer`) had been invisible for four days, and today made five. A single themed bundle off a 31-find day would have placed five items and left the backlog exactly where it was.

+Hero floor: cleared everywhere, and comfortably — 30 of 34 placed items carry an image. The thinnest is `you-work-it-out-by-playing` at 3 of 5, which is still above the floor and above the ~4-hero aim in proportion for a 5-item grid.

+**The two clusters worth defending.** `the-thing-is-gone-the-shape-stayed` is the run's best theme and it is not a topic bucket — a lava cave holding the shape of the tree that burned inside it, a field of hollow molds behind a statue workshop, a radar retired before it ever tracked anything, a motel nobody renovated away, and two archives of parts and catalogs for machines that stopped shipping. It is the only cluster here that could not be reconstructed from tags, which is the test the skill sets. `what-it-wont-do-is-the-feature` is the tightest at 4 items and was deliberately not padded to 5: `filerouter` and `graffiti-moe` were both tried in it and both were about *adding* a capability, not declining one, so they came out. Four items that argue one case beat five that argue one and a half.
