Source maintenance: none applied. Observations: (1) r/shortcuts returned a 429 for the 3rd consecutive run (07-04/05/06) — still a soft rate-limit, not a Cloudflare/DNS/empty-403 hard block, and other Reddit .rss feeds (r/macapps, r/dadjokes) worked this run, so no skip; the endpoint is intermittently IP-rate-limited, transient. (2) r/BuyItForLife also 429'd this run (same intermittent pattern). (3) Outlier has migrated off Shopify — both /collections/new-arrivals/products.json and /products.json now 404 (Sanity frontend); it has no configured fetch strategy and stays manual-review only. sources.json left untouched, `updated` stays 2026-07-03.

## 2026-07-06 — bundle: Three arguments on the wrist
Slug: 2026-07-06-three-arguments-on-the-wrist
Autonomous pick. Today's shortlist had two coherent clusters — a Mac-utility crop and three new watches. Chose the watches: they form a genuinely new category for the site (no prior watch bundle), the theme is tight and honest (each watch argues a different thing a wristwatch can be built around — material provenance in the Czapek meteorite dial, nostalgic-icon revival in the Casio A140's F-91W silhouette, and stripped-back restraint in the first all-analog Pro Trek), and it spreads coverage away from the three finds being graduated to reviews this run (analogtv, powerhouz, worse-on-purpose — all reachable directly from the homepage, so they don't need a bundle to be seen). Deliberately did NOT run a weekly catch (07-05's "The week's catch" is still inside the trailing-7-day window) and the unbundled pool is under the cluster-run threshold, so a single themed bundle. Kept at 3 (tight theme). Media caveat: only the Czapek carries a hero (casio.com is Akamai-bot-blocked), so the two Casios render as clean text tiles — the theme is honest regardless.

> Today's catch is three watches that surfaced in the same week and quietly argue with each other. One is built around a material you cannot fake, one around a shape you already miss, and one around everything it chooses to leave out.
