- Reddit (r/macapps, r/BuyItForLife, r/shortcuts, r/dadjokes) — not re-probed today under the cadence rule; the 07-28 diagnosis stands unchanged from yesterday's measurement. Still four sources recoverable by regenerating one credential.

New source nominees: 1 (john.fun — see candidate-sources.md). candidate-sources.md backlog now 22+ unvetted. No targeted search was run: the skill offers one when a run produces few organic candidates, and adding a search-sourced name to a 21-deep unvetted queue is motion rather than progress.

## 2026-08-02 — bundles: Open a tab, that's the whole setup + the week's catch
Two bundles, and between them they take the eligible unbundled shortlisted pool from **14 to zero**. Backlog check did not fire (14 against the ~25 cluster threshold), so this is a single themed `build-bundle auto` plus the weekly catch — not a cluster run.

**The deferred browser cluster shipped, and this is the entry to veto if any is.** "Free, in a browser tab, no account" was held on the hero floor on 07-29 and again on 08-01, where the log escalated it: three of that day's four Show HN finds landed in it heroless, the cause was structural, and it was flagged for an operator call rather than a third silent deferral. Today two hero-bearing browser finds arrived — `elevators`, whose og image is the actual simulation diagram under a wordmark that crops off cleanly, and `boredreading`, which publishes a real UI screenshot — so the cluster clears the floor of 2 on its own merits and ships. It is deliberately six rather than eight: `beakdown` and `etymologue` were moved to the weekly catch instead, because eight items behind two heroes is the thin-grid failure the skill warns about, and the catch could carry them alongside five images.
Theme honesty check, since "nothing to install" is the kind of claim that quietly stops being true: all six run in an ordinary browser tab with no download. `boredreading` is the one with an asterisk — it offers accounts for voting and reading lists — so the title and blurb say *setup* and *install*, not "no account". The 08-01 framing ("no account") would have been wrong for it.

**Weekly catch, first since `2026-07-19-the-weeks-catch` — two weeks and one day, not seven days.** The 07-26 catch never happened because the 07-26 and 08-01 cluster runs superseded it, which was the right call both times and left a residue anyway: `sunflowers-logic-puzzle` (07-27), `etymologue` and `coast-mac-control-surface` (07-28) and `beakdown` (07-29) had all been shortlisted and then stranded across four consecutive runs, invisible everywhere except tag pages. All four are now bundled. The window is stated as July 27 – August 2 because that is what the items actually span; nothing older was pulled in.
Not bundled and deliberately so:
- `onion-minions-epic-poem` and `joke-ground-beef` — captured today, not shortlisted. Jokes and one-line humour finds have never carried a bundle slot and shouldn't start.
- `fieldbar-mini-bar` and `do-your-whisky-whiskey-making-kit` — both still sitting in the unbundled shortlisted list and both permanently ineligible under the alcohol rule. They are excluded from the pool up front rather than counted as backlog; noting it again because a raw query of "unbundled shortlisted finds" returns 16, not 14, and the difference is entirely these two.
