+**Gap note first, because it shapes everything below.** The last pipeline run was 2026-08-04 and it stopped after the bundle stage — no reviews, no copy edit, no pick of the day. 08-05 and 08-06 did not run at all. So this run sweeps a three-day feed window, and picks up the 08-04 review candidates that were never graduated.

+Not shortlisted (8): past-catalog-archive, hidden-figures-monument, tour-aux-figures, pac-man-otamatone, coodle-cuddling-pillow, dowfart, quote-sit-there, joke-eggs-break-up. `tour-aux-figures` was the closest call and lost on its hero, not its subject: the only recoverable image is a wide park lawn with the tower small on the horizon, and a 78-foot sculpture that reads as a smudge at tile size is not shortlist material. `hidden-figures-monument` is a good find whose Atlas Obscura copy contradicts itself on Katherine Johnson's ages (high school at 15, college at 14); the find avoids the numbers, but that is not a base to graduate from.

That is the not-yet-shipping clause, which the daily-finds bar states flatly. Worth re-checking when it ships — it would be a strong review and a strong pick.
