FlashFilter sits between the GPU and the screen and softens or strips flashing content in whatever is already playing — a game, a video, a page that autoplays something violent — rather than asking each app to behave. For people with photosensitive epilepsy, the usual advice is to avoid the trigger, which is unworkable when the trigger arrives unannounced mid-scroll. This intercepts it instead.
FlashFilter sits between the desktop and the display as a GPU compositing layer, analysing every frame and smoothing flashes in whatever is already playing — a game, a video, a page that autoplays something violent — rather than asking each app to behave. Crucially it adds no dark overlay and no colour tint: only the flash is damped, so the rest of the picture is untouched. For people with photosensitive epilepsy the usual advice is to avoid the trigger, which is unworkable when it arrives unannounced mid-scroll.
