- **Michael Tsai — mjtsai.com/blog** — https://mjtsai.com/blog/ — long-running, well-curated Apple/Mac news-and-software link blog. Surfaced this run as the "via" credit on Six Colors' WhatCable post and cited multiple times by Daring Fireball in the same window — recurring across two independent existing sources, which is the "worth its own slot" signal. Has an RSS feed (mjtsai.com/blog/feed/). Strong macos-apps / apple-tips fit.
- **Quantum of Sollazzo** — https://quantumofsollazzo.com/ — Giuseppe Sollazzo's newsletter on data and visualization curiosities; credited by Web Curios this run as "ever-excellent." Potential general-delight source for dataviz/web-toy finds (e.g. this run's World Cup data portraits came from that corner of the web). Check for a feed before adding.
### 2026-07-13 capture round
- **MetaFilter** — https://www.metafilter.com/ — the original community link-aggregator; still one of the best low-noise sources of genuinely strange, delightful corners of the web. Surfaced this run as a repeated "via MeFi" credit inside Things Magazine's monthly link-dump (twice in one post). Things Magazine is effectively re-publishing MetaFilter's finds a step downstream — going to the source directly would get us there first and at a much better cadence (MeFi posts daily; Things posts monthly). Has a clean RSS feed (/rss.xml). Strong general-delight fit.
- **Nomadico** — https://nomadicomail.com/ — Tim Leffel's short weekly travel newsletter (four items an issue: gear, destinations, travel logistics). Surfaced this run because Cool Tools *republishes it wholesale* as a roundup post — this run's LectroFan Alpha item was Nomadico content arriving secondhand. Same argument as MetaFilter: we're reading it a step downstream already. Would strengthen the travel axis, which is currently thin (Roadtrippers went dormant, The Outbound and Boutique Homes are undated dead ends — all three demoted/skipped this run).
- **Andy Ihnatko** — https://ihnatko.com/ — long-time Mac/tech columnist's new personal blog (launched ~2026-06-02, announced via Six Colors). Referenced again this week as the referrer on a piece Six Colors picked up, which suggests he's actively curating outward links. Lesser priority than the two above — the blog is young and its cadence/shape isn't established yet. Flagged for the trail; worth re-checking in a month.
