Nominated on two independent signals in the same run, which is unusual enough to record. First, it is an explicit outbound credit in Kottke's feed (pointing at TKSST's post on the 1984 René Jodoin animation *A Matter of Form* — itself already a find here, which says something about the overlap). Second, and more persuasive: while verifying today's `ants-phenakistoscope-turntable` find, TKSST turned out to be the best secondary source anywhere on Yohei Kisanuki's hand-drawn phenakistoscopes — it had covered the artist before The Awesomer did. A source that independently beats us to the same artist is worth reading directly rather than a step downstream. Has a working RSS feed, and its beat (video-led delight, no product angle) fills a gap: the site's video finds currently arrive almost entirely through The Awesomer.
