Source maintenance: none. Watch (not yet actionable): r/BuyItForLife and r/shortcuts both returned HTTP 429 on their old.reddit.com/.rss feeds this run. For r/shortcuts this is the 2nd consecutive 429 on old.reddit (1st was 07-08); for r/BuyItForLife it's the 1st (it fetched clean on old.reddit 07-08). Both are below the 3-consecutive-run hard-block threshold, and the other two Reddit feeds (r/macapps, r/dadjokes) fetched clean on old.reddit this run — so likely intermittent old.reddit rate-limiting rather than a hard block; monitor next run, no sources.json change yet. Snow Peak's news feed is stale (newest entry 2026-05-16) but it is an ongoing/manual-review source with live content, not a dead feed — no change.
New source nominees: 0 — today's finds were individual indie apps, single artifacts, and one destination; no new curated feed or source-of-sources surfaced.

## 2026-07-09 — cluster run
Triggered by the daily-pipeline backlog check: the unbundled *shortlisted* pool had grown to 32 genuinely-invisible finds (41 raw, minus 9 already graduated to reviews and thus reachable from the homepage) — over the ~25 threshold — so a cluster run replaced the single themed bundle this stage. Autonomous (auto mode), no confirmation gate. Because the 07-07 cluster run was only two days ago, I scoped this deliberately: 6 tight, fresh-angle bundles drawn entirely from the unbundled pool (zero reuse of already-bundled finds — well inside the ~20% budget), prioritizing today's fresh captures and the strongest accumulated finds, and leaving genuine misfits uncovered for the ~07-12 weekly catch rather than padding. Held the two review candidates (recall, picview) out of every bundle so they carry the review treatment.
Wrote 6 bundles placing 23 finds (22 of the 32 unbundled shortlisted + inventing-eliza-book, an unbundled non-shortlisted find that completed the ELIZA pairing).
Reuses across bundles: 0.

Bundles created:

- 2026-07-09-more-than-the-outside-admits: More than the outside admits (3 items) — travel; premise/exterior undersells the spectacle inside: st-johns-co-cathedral-malta, nashville-parthenon, hastings-kool-aid-museum
- 2026-07-09-nothing-to-sign-up-for: Nothing to sign up for (5 items) — local-first, no-account Mac apps: taskstxt-plain-text-task-manager, coast-fire-tracker, enviouswispr-free-mac-dictation, orbit-for-mac-google-accounts, command-keeper
- 2026-07-09-controls-in-the-furniture: Controls hidden in the Mac's furniture (3 items) — apps that repurpose screen edges / Dock / notch: stash-tactile-control-layer, iris-photos-dock-faces-icon, droppy-all-in-one-notch-utility
- 2026-07-09-for-the-side-project: For the side project, not the inbox (4 items) — tools for a specific creative pursuit: gd-studio-pen-plotter, lightwindow-golden-hour-planner, subsmith-sentence-mining, clipart-free
- 2026-07-09-small-mercies-for-the-trip: Small mercies for the trip (4 items) — travel gear, one annoyance each: vasco-v4-translator, cushy-airplane-seat-cushion, logitech-mobi-fold-travel-mouse, drop-stop-car-seat-gap-filler
- 2026-07-09-back-from-the-archive: Brought back from the archive (4 items) — recovered historical artifacts: try-eliza-chatbot, inventing-eliza-book, wound-man, ancient-egypt-painters-palette
Distinct from the 07-07 cluster angles (built-around-one-idea, carry-with-a-trick, desktop-in-hand, kitchen-in-costume, open-a-tab, what-the-mac-hides) and the 07-08 "nothing slips past" — no theme reused.
Uncovered finds: recall-work-session-memory and picview-image-viewer (deliberately held for this run's reviews). Genuine tail left for the ~07-12 weekly catch or a future themed bundle: chiptune-radio and isthistechdead (web toys — recently covered by the 07-07 "open a tab"), worse-on-purpose-ledger (consumer-skeptic ledger — no honest 3+ cluster this run), kaset (YouTube client — no clean theme this run), hamilton-khaki-field-mechanical-250 (a single watch — the 07-06 "three arguments on the wrist" was the watch home), uco-stormproof-match-kit and claymore-3face-mini-area-light (an EDC/outdoors pair — too few for a bundle), and london-notebook-writing (a text-only quote — belongs in a quotes bundle or the weekly catch). Not padded into a bundle to force coverage, per the skill.

> Three apps that colonize the bits of the Mac you'd stopped seeing: one turns the dead space at your screen's edges into tactile dials with real trackpad haptics, one pins a person's actual face into your Dock among the apps, and one drafts the camera notch into a drop-shelf for files.
