Source maintenance: none. r/shortcuts and r/BuyItForLife 429'd again (a 3rd consecutive run of intermittent 429s for these two) — but NOT skipped: r/macapps and r/dadjokes returned clean 200s from the same old.reddit.com/.rss host in the same run, so this is per-subreddit anonymous-endpoint throttling, not a dead source. The real fix is OAuth (no REDDIT_CLIENT_ID/SECRET in env or .env). Held, flagged for the user.
New source nominees: 0 new this run. Backlog in candidate-sources.md is large and stale — 10+ unvetted, several high-conviction and re-surfacing (Public Domain Review, which supplied today's venetian-bridge-fights find; Michael Tsai; MetaFilter; Colossal; Craig Mod / Ridgeline). Worth the user's vetting.

Autonomous-mode rationale: the strongest cohesive cluster in today's shortlist — old machines/formats made usable in the present (a CRT filter, classic Mac OS in a browser, an iMac-G3 clock, hand-drawn NES guides, a tiny-record turntable). Chosen over a public-domain-archives cluster (john-margolies, naturalists-library, venetian-bridge-fights, clipart-studio) because the home feed already ran archive-leaning bundles on 07-13 and 07-14, whereas the last retro-computing bundle was 07-09 — so retro reads fresher on the feed. Titanium-EDC cluster held: only 3 buyable shortlisted items (the strongest — comandi, still-pen — are Kickstarter/pre-order and ineligible), and "milled-for-the-pocket"/"carry-with-a-trick" already cover the theme. Weekly catch skipped: a week's catch (07-12) already exists inside the trailing 7 days and the pre-today unbundled backlog is modest (~19). No cluster run — backlog is well under the ~25 threshold.

> Today's catch: five small revivals of the machines and formats we grew up with — a CRT filter for any display, a full classic Mac OS booting in a browser tab, an iMac-G3 desk clock, hand-drawn guides to the NES classics, and a turntable built for tiny records.
